Saakashvili Having No Documents To Appeal Against Poroshenko's Decree Terminating His Ukrainian Citizenship

Former president of Georgia / former chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration / leader of the New Forces Movement political party Mikheil Saakashvili does not have any documents to appeal against the decree signed by President Petro Poroshenko and envisioning termination of Ukrainian citizenship of the New Forces Movement leader.

Saakashvili has said this at a briefing, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Poroshenko is surprised with the fact that Saakashvili does not appeal against his decree at court... How can I do that if I have no document to base my appeal on?" he said.

He says he has not yet received any document proving his Ukrainian citizenship is ceased.

Saakashvili also asks the Presidential Administration to provide him with a copy of the State Migration Service's recommendation on termination of his citizenship.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Saakashvili intends to visit Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Sumy and Odesa.
