The Cabinet of Ministers has suggested that the Verkhovna Rada sets the national debt in the amount of UAH 1.999 trillion by the end of 2018.
This is said in the draft state budget for 2018 (the bill No.7000) registered in the Rada on September 15, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, the draft state budget suggests setting the national debt in the amount of UAH 1,999.347176 billion and the maximum amount guaranteed by state at UAH 747,551.011 million.
The bill envisages that in 2018 the Cabinet may provide temporarily guarantees of up to UAH 24 billion to economic entities that attracted funding for investment projects.
In addition, the government may provide guarantees based on international contracts to attract financing for investment, infrastructure and strategic projects.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet suggested that Rada adopts the state budget for 2018 with the income set at UAH 877 billion and the expenditures set at UAH 948.1 billion.
