World Sailing Recognizes Illegal Competitions In Sevastopol

The World Sailing (formerly International Sailing Federation, ISAF), the world governing body for the sport of sailing, has recognized illegal the Russian competitions in Sevastopol, the Russian-annexed Crimea.

The press service of the Youth and Sports Ministry of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The competitions were held in Sevastopol September 8-15.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov has called on the international community not to participate in the World Festival of Youth and Students, which Russia is organizing in the annexed Crimea in October.
