Court Temporarily Forbids Forcible Expatriation Of Saakashvili's Brother From Ukraine

The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv has put a temporarily ban on a decision to expatriate from Ukraine brother of former chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration / Leader of the New Forces Movement Mikheil Saakashvili, David Saakashvili.

This is said in the court's decision dated September 13 posted on Facebook by lawyer Pavlo Bohomazov, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The court thus upheld an administrative claim lodged by a defense team ordering stay of execution on the decision about forcible expatriation of David Saakashvil pending decision on an administrative lawsuit.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 2, the National Police brought to the State Migration Service brother of Mikheil Saakashvili, David, accusing him of violating rules for staying in the territory of Ukraine.

According to the police, his permission for staying in Ukraine was invalid because it had been cancelled in March 2017 when the State Employment Service received information about his job permit being revoked.
