President of Moldova Igor Dodon urges Ukraine to revise the new wording of the law on education adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on September 5 in the part concerning languages of study. He wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The President of Moldova notes there are a number of schools in Moldova with the Ukrainian language of study. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary Peter Szijjarto has called Ambassador of Ukraine Liubov Nepop following the adoption of the new wording of the law on education by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Minister of Szijjarto considers that language rules laid out in the law On Education violate rights of Hungarian minority. Chairperson of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Hennadii Moskal urged President Petro Poroshenko to veto or send for revision to the Verkhovna Rada the revised law On Education as it violates rights of national minorities. The Opposition Bloc Party in Ukraine says the language rules laid out in the law On Education violate rights of national minorities. On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the revised law On Education that envisages 12-years education in secondary school.
