The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union has taken effect.
The Association Agreement was signed in 2014.
A lot of provision of the Association Agreement in the part concerning political and sector cooperation have been effective since September 1, 2014.
The trade part of the Association Agreement (deep and comprehensive free trade area) has been effective sine January 1, 2016.
The enactment of the Association Agreement will give an impetus to the development of cooperation if foreign policies, security policies, judiciary, freedoms and security (including migration), taxation, public finance administration, science, technology, education and information community.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 12, the Council of the European Union completed the process of ratification of the Association Agreement.
On May 30, the Senate of the Netherlands ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
