Verkhovna Rada member Iryna Lutsenko from the faction of the Solidarity Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, the representative of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the parliament, says the bill on restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty over Donbas is 99.9% ready for submission to the Verkhovna Rada.

She announced this live on the Fifth Channel in the evening of August 28, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"There have been consultations with our partners in the Normandy Format already... I can say it is 99.9% ready for submission to the Verkhovna Rada," she said.

She says Poroshenko will present some provisions of the bill during his speech at the Verkhovna Rada early in September.

Participating in the work at the bill were experts, specialists from the Presidential Administration, coalition MPs, lawyers, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Justice Ministry of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov expected that the bill on restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty over Donbas would be registered at the Verkhovna Rada early in September after consultations with international partners, including in the Normandy Format (Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia), the United States, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
