Banks' Number Down From 96 To 89 Over 7M

In the first seven months of 2017, the number of Ukrainian commercial banks decreased from 96 to 89.

The National Bank of Ukraine has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In July, the number of banks decreased from 90 to 89 as at August 1.

Among 89 commercial banks there are 38 banks with foreign capital and 17 banks with 100-percent capital.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the number of commercial banks decreased by 21 to 96 in 2016.
