Iraq has lifted restrictions from imports of poultry meat from Ukraine.
The State Food Safety and Consumer Right Protection Service of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports
The statement reads that the government of Iraq has endorsed a decision to lift the restrictions from imports of poultry products from Ukraine imposed over avian influenza cases registered in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates have also lifted temporary restrictions from imports of poultry products from Ukraine imposed over avian influenza cases registered in Ukraine.
These countries restricted imports of poultry products from Ukraine.
The State Food Safety and Consumer Right Protection Service of Ukraine has registered no cases of avian influenza since February 15.
In the period from November 30, 2016 to February 15, 2017, there were nine avian influenza outbreaks registered in Ukraine: four cases in Kherson region, two in Chernivtsi region and per one case in Odesa, Ternopil and Mykolaiv regions, of which five cases were registered among farm-bred population, three among wildlife and one was registered in the zoo.
