Some 1,011 persons have died due to fire since the beginning of 2017.
The State Emergency Service (SES) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, since the start of the year, the SES recorded 59,471 fires, of which 19,996 in private sector, 1,309 at production facilities, 2,455 in transport and 35,741 under other circumstances.
1,011 persons were killed and 929 received injuries.
At the same time, 1,229 persons were rescued from fire.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SES warned of extreme fire danger in 13 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv in the period from August 17 to 22, and in Rivne region from August 19 to 22.
