The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the opening of the Bronnytsia crossing on the state border in Vinnytsia region.
The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on Friday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Ukraine and Moldova announced in February that they intended to reach agreement on joint controls at international border crossings on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border before 2018.
The two countries are also interested in implementing infrastructure projects involving opening of the Bronnytsia-Ungri bridge and granting it international status, as well as construction of a new Yampol-Soroki bridge across River Dniester.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko intends to visit Moldova in September to open the Bronnytsia-Ungri bridge.
