Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin considers the low ranking of Kyiv by the Economist Intelligence Unit of the Economist Magazine (Britain) unfair.

The minister wrote this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Klimkin referred to Kyiv as "fascinatingly wild and absolutely free" city.

Earlier the Economist published an annual rating of 140 cities of the world where it accessed the cities under such parameters as stability, healthcare, culture, environment, education and infrastructure.

This year rating was topped by Melbourne (the Commonwealth of Australia), with Vienna (the Republic of Austria) holding the second place, and Vancouver (Canada) the third.

The top-10 cities included Calgary (Canada), Adelaide (Australia), Pert (Australia), Oakland (New Zeeland), Helsinki (the Republic of Finland) and Hamburg (the Republic of Germany).

Kyiv ranked the 131st place out of 140, thus appearing among the top ten most inauspicious places for living.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2016, Kyiv also ranked the 131st place among cities based on their auspiciousness for living in the rating of the Economist Magazine.
