Kyiv Decides To Restrict Traffic In Downtown On August 24 For Events On Occasion Of Independence Day

The Kyiv city state administration has decided to restrict traffic in the downtown and some streets in districts on August 24 because of events to be held in the city on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Ukraine's Independence.

This is said in resolution No. 961 of the Kyiv city state administration of August 11, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The traffic will be restricted in the downtown from 6 a.m. of August 24 till the end of the military parade.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyiv City State Administration states that military bands of Ukraine and the United States intend to hold a joint concert at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (the Independence Square, the main square in the country in Kyiv) on the Independence Day of Ukraine (August 24).
