Deputy Prosecutor General Yenin: Entry Of Saakashvili In Ukraine Possible On Visa

Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin says the entry of ex-President of Georgia and ex-head of the Odesa regional state administration Mikheil Saakashvili, the leader of the Mikheil Saakashvili New Forces Movement political party, is possible only after receiving a Ukrainian visa.

Yenin wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

'Entry of Saakashvili (who is a person without any citizenship now if the information about his citizenship in third countries is incorrect) in Ukraine is possible only after issuance of a visa. Any performances together with activists or illegal crossing the border gives 100-percent grounds for brining him to administrative responsibility and for brining persons who will help him in the illegal crossing the border to criminal responsibility," he wrote.

He notes that personal participation of a foreigner in litigation is not guaranteed by the Convention and a plaintiff can defend ones interests through a lawyer.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, ex-President of Georgia and ex-head of the Odesa regional state administration Mikheil Saakashvili, the leader of the Mikheil Saakashvili New Forces Movement political party, has arrived in Hungary from Lithuania.

On July 26, the State Migration Service of Ukraine stated that President Petro Poroshenko had deprived Saakashvili of his Ukrainian citizenship.
