Verkhovna Rada member Andrii Biletskyi (independent) intends to run for president.

He said this in an interview with the Censor.net outlet, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

MP Biletskyi says nationalist parties should nominate one candidate for the presidential elections.

He says he was one of those who initiated the signing of a memorandum by the parties the National Corps (formerly Azov Civil Corps), the Right Sector, and the Svoboda.

"I am absolutely confident that this line has good chances for a serious victory at the parliamentary elections... With a good strategy we can count on 15-17% of votes as a fresh national political force representing the front," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, independent candidate Biletskyi was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in a constituency in Kyiv.

He was born in Kharkiv in 1979.
