Member of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council Serhii Kostynskyi states that the Russian Federation plans to build a TV-broadcasting tower near Jankoy in the Russia-annexed Crimea in 2018.
Kostynskyi wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to Kostynskyi, the project aims at competing with and countering the TV-broadcasting tower erected by Ukraine in Chonhar (Kherson region).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2017, the Ukrainian TV-broadcasting tower started broadcasting signals in Chonhar.
According to the report, the signal broadcast by the station reached Jankoy and was present within 20-kilometer area within Simferopol.
