NATO Military To Take Part In Parade In Kyiv On Day Of Independence

The Defense Ministry of Ukraine says military of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will take part in the military parade in Kyiv on the Day of Ukraine's Independence on August 24.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak announced this to the press, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Military of six NATO member states will take part in the parade, according to him.

Participating in the parade will be also 4,500 Ukrainian servicemen, including 1,000 participants in the antiterrorist operation.

The Ukrainian army will present during the parade 25 brand new samples of military equipment and weapons.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed a plan of measures to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The plan envisages a military parade on Khreschatyk Street in Kyiv on August 24.
