The United Arab Emirates has lifted restrictions from importation of poultry products from Ukraine. The State Food Safety and Consumer Right Protection Service of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The statement reads that the State Food Safety and Consumer Right Protection Service has received a notification about the fact from the World Trade Organization. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iraq have lifted temporary restrictions from imports of poultry products from Ukraine imposed over avian influenza cases registered in Ukraine. Prior to this, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, Yemen, and the European Union restricted imports of poultry products from Ukraine. The State Food Safety and Consumer Right Protection Service of Ukraine has registered no cases of avian influenza since February 15. In the period from November 30, 2016 to February 15, 2017, there were nine avian influenza outbreaks registered in Ukraine: four cases in Kherson region, two in Chernivtsi region and per one case in Odesa, Ternopil and Mykolaiv regions, of which five cases were registered among farm-bred population, three among wildlife and one was registered in the zoo.
