Ukraine To Sue Russia For Damages In Mariupol, Berdiansk Seaports Due To Construction Of Bridge Across Kerch Strait

Ukraine intends to file a lawsuit against the Russian Federation claiming compensation of damages suffered by the Mariupol Commercial Sea Port (Donetsk region) and the Berdiansk Commercial Sea Port (Zaporizhia region) due to construction by Russia of a bridge across Kerch Strait.

The Ministry of Infrastructure has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Currently we prepare to litigate and count losses from the under-received profit by Mariupol and Berdiansk Commercial Sea Ports," the statement said with the reference to Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yurii Lavreniuk.

According to the report, the Ministry of Infrastructure works on the problem jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security and Defense Council.
