The Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine says Russian military lieutenant Konstantin Yefimenko made an attempt to kill himself with a knife when the Russian command refused to allow his trip to Russia from Donbas.
Press service of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Intelligence says the Russian military officer is undergoing medical treatment in a hospital in Kadievka, Luhansk region.
The intelligence says the Russian occupational command has suspended retirement of military officers.
Military officers are forced to sign new contracts.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense states that one militant died and five were taken to hospital as a result of drugs overdose in Luhansk region.
