Ex-Prime Ministers Lazarenko, Yanukovych, Azarov Were Not Among Invited To Grand Meeting Marking 100th Anniversary Of Ukrainian Government

Former prime ministers of Ukraine Pavlo Lazarenko, Viktor Yanukovych, and Mykola Azarov were not among those invited to the grand meeting marking the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian government.

The secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers told this to Ukrainian News Agency following an inquiry.

Participating in the grand meeting were Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, former prime ministers Anatolii Kinakh, Yurii Yekhanurov, Yevhen Marchuk, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, and Leonid Kuchma.

The following former prime ministers of Ukraine were also invited to the grand meeting: Yulia Tymoshenko, Viktor Yuschenko, Valerii Pustovoitenko, Vitalii Masol, Vitold Fokin.

They did not take part in the grand meeting although they had not sent refusals to attend the event.

The following former prime ministers of Ukraine were not invited to the grand meeting: Pavlo Lazarenko, Viktor Yanukovych, Mykola Azarov, and former acting prime ministers Valentyn Symonenko, Yukhym Zviahilskyi, Vasyl Durdynets, and Serhii Arbuzov.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 18, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine convened a grand meeting on July 18 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Government of Ukraine.

On June 28, 1917, the Central Rada established its executive body - the General Secretariat, which is considered the first government of Ukraine.
