Health Ministry Requires Healthcare Establishments To Report For Raised Charitable Funds Starting 2018

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has obliged healthcare organizations to account for funds raised through charity starting from 2018.

This is said in the Executive Order No.848 dated July 25, 2017 of the Healthcare Ministry, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The ministry said that the order set in place a mechanism to monitor funds donated to charitable funds of hospitals; reduces the possibility of running schemes; eliminates risks of corruption that existed before; raises trust among patients to charity in healthcare facilities.

According to the report, the information about receiving and use of donations from individuals and legal entities must be published in a specially designed form quarterly but not later than the 10 date of the month following the reporting quarter, in the territory of a healthcare organization (facility) in a public place, as well as at the official website of the healthcare organization (facility), including official websites of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regional healthcare units, Kyiv and Sevastopol City State Administrations.
