The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conduct searches in the representative office of the Benish GPS company (the State of Israel) in Kyiv.

The Ukrainian News Agency has learnt this from a source within the PGO.

The searches are conducted under a criminal case investigated by the Special Investigations Department of the PGO.

The searches started on Wednesday's morning.

In particular, law enforcers search the Benish's central representative office at 56 Yaroslavska Street.

SBU officers expropriated cell phones from the staff.

The work of the office has been temporarily discontinued.

The source in the PGO said that the criminal case was opened over the facts of financial abuse by former management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during procurements.

In particular, the Benish GPS company supplied Ukrainian law enforcement authorities with electronic tracking bracelets that are used to keep track of movement of suspects.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, court obliged the police to put electronic tracking bracelets on Members of the Verkhovna Rada Boryslav Rozenblat (non-affiliated) and Maksym Poliakov (the People's Front parliamentary faction).
