Court Allows Detention Of Ex-Mayor Of Kyiv Chernovetskyi

Court allowed taking former mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetskyi in custody.

Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larysa Sarhan has written this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, Sarhan said that the suspect was dodging justice and that his whereabouts were unknown.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 14, the Prosecutor General's Office charged Leonid Chernovetskyi with a crime under Section 2, Article 364 (abuse of power and office) of the Penal Code.
