NACB Intending To Open Criminal Case Against MP Poliakov For Not Abiding By Court Ruling

The National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine is intending to open a criminal case against Member of Parliament Maksym Poliakov from the faction of the People's Front Party if he refuses to abide by the ruling of the Solomiyanskyi District Court of Kyiv.

A source in the National Anticorruption Bureau told this to Ukrainian News Agency.

The Solomiyanskyi District Court of Kyiv set a bail of UAH 300,000 for MP Poliakov, obliged him to give foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

"If he does not abide by the court ruling, we will open another criminal case for not abiding by the ruling and we will go to the Parliament again with a new motion," the source said.

He gave no further details.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, MP Poliakov did not come to a police station to get an electronic bracelet on July 22.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SACPO) is asking MP Maksym Poliakov to contact the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's detectives and report to a police station to receive an electronic monitoring bracelet.

MP Poliakov denies that law enforcers tried to put an electronic tracking bracelet on him.
