NATO Allocates EUR 40 Million To Ukraine Through 10 Trust Funds

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has allocated EUR 40 million to Ukraine through ten trust funds.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko following a meeting of the Ukraine - NATO Commission in Kyiv on Monday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"NATO will be further providing practical assistance to Ukraine. Today we have revised our complex package of assistance to Ukraine. Through ten various trust funds the NATO member states have allocated nearly EUR 40 million to support Ukraine," he said.

He says the assistance will address issues of command management, cyber security, and medical rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, and 29 delegations of the NATO member states are visiting Ukraine on July 9-10.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the law fixing in legislation the priority of Ukraine's membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization took effect on July 9, 2017.

President Poroshenko signed the law on July 6.
