Prosecutor General Lutsenko Leaves Rada Building Following Skirmish With MP Shakhov During Meeting Of Parliamentary Procedure Committee

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko has left a building of the Verkhovna Rada following a skirmish with Member of Parliament Serhii Shakhov during the meeting of the Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee was considering a motion to strip deputy immunity from MP Maksym Poliakov, a correspondent of Ukrainian News Agency reports from the scene.

"Today you are trying to smut my mouth! Yanek (former president Viktor Yanukovych) failed to do this and you won't succeed either"," Yurii Lutsenko shouted at Serhii Shakhov.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 3-7, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work will consider motions for stripping deputy immunity from members of parliament Maksym Poliakov, Yevhen Deidei (both are members of the People's Front parliamentary faction), Andrii Lozovyi (Oleh Liashko Radical Party faction), Boryslav Rozenblat (Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction), and Oles Dovhyi (People's Will parliamentary group).

MP Poliakov is incriminated with a crime envisioned by Section 4 of Article 368 (receipt of improper advantage by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
