Poroshenko: Dutch Court To Consider Case On Crash Of Malaysia Airlines Plane In 2014

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says a court in the Netherlands will consider the case on downing of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 in Donetsk region on July 17, 2014.

President Poroshenko wrote this on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Today the government of the Netherlands has announced its decision that the criminal proceedings in the case on the downed plane the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 will be performed in the frames of the national jurisdiction of the Netherlands," he wrote.

President Poroshenko says that the mechanism of bringing those responsible for the downing of the plane to justice has been elaborated by Australia, Malaysia, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Ukraine.

President Poroshenko says Ukraine will do its utmost to help the Netherlands punish those responsible for the downing of the plane as soon as possible.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte coordinated their positions on bringing those responsible for the downing of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 in Donetsk region on 17 July 2014 to justice.
