Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua internet newspaper, is accusing the Presidential Administration of Ukraine of exerting pressure on judges of the Kyiv Appeal Court to get them increase the sum of the bail.
He said this at a press conference at the press center of Ukrainian News Agency, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 24, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv ordered a detention of Huzhva with the alternative of a bail of UAH 544,000.
On June 26, Svitlana Kriukova, deputy editor-in-chief of the Strana.ua internet newspaper, posted the bail for Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua.
On June 27, Ihor Huzhva was released from the remand prison in Kyiv.
The Kyiv city prosecutor's office is requesting the Appeal Court of Kyiv to increase the bail for Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua internet newspaper, from UAH 544,000 to UAH 3.2 million.
