Shandong Qingneng Power, a China-based company involved in the production of equipment for the thermal power plants, is interested in the construction of a thermal power plant in Dobromyl, Lviv region. The press service of the Lviv regional state administration announced this in a statement posted on the website of the regional state administration, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The statement reads that Oleh Syniutka, the head of the Lviv regional state administration, met with China's investors and representatives of the Ukrlisholding Ukraine - Chine Joint Venture in Lviv on July 1. A representative of the Chinese investors said that they were interested in construction of a thermal power plant in Dobromyl, Lviv region, for using the resource of Ukrlisholding which is engaged in timber processing. The Ukrlisholding Ukraine - Chine Joint Venture was registered in July 2014. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Xi'an ShaanGu Power company (the People's Republic of China) intends to build a bio-heat power plant (bio-TPP) running on wood chips with capacity of 6.7 MW in Olevsk (Zhytomyr region). The Chinese company Harbin Electric International, which supplies power equipment worldwide, is interested in participating in tenders for privatization of enterprises in the Ukrainian energy sector.
