The National Bank of Ukraine has received documents from businessman Viktor Prokopenia (the Republic of Belarus) to purchase 100% of shares of Sberbank.
Press service of the NBU told this to the Ukrainian News Agency.
Viktor Prokopenia is a citizen of Belarus and the Republic of Cyprus.
Under the law, the Regulator must provide answer within three months following the receipt of the full package of documents.
The assessment of documents includes check of goodwill, financial statements and income sources of the applicant - potential investor.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 30, citizen of Belarus / entrepreneur engaged in IT-business Viktor Prokopenia stated his intention to purchase Sberbank.
Sberbank Ukraine is a 100% subsidiary of Sberbank of Russia.
In April, the NBU received from Said Gutsuriyev the package of documents for purchase of a 77.5-percent stake in Sberbank and the package of documents from Grigorii Guselnikov for purchase of a 22.5-percent stake in the bank.
