Press service of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. According to the report, the documents are expropriated to conceal involvement of Russian citizens in the military conflict in Donbas. In addition, to prevent leak of important information, headquarters of the Second Army Corps (Luhansk) collects and organizes data about the number of military staff and Russian personnel in particular, among intelligence departments of the corps. Besides, the report said that officers of the Third Separate Rifle Motorized Brigade (Horlivka, Donetsk region) of the First Army Corps and of the Seventh Separate Rifle Motorized Brigade (Brianka, Luhansk region) of the Second Army Corps conceal from higher commandment the actual number of military personnel with the purpose of personal enrichment. In particular, officers in some militant units have split documentation on the records of military personnel in order to misappropriate the allowance for killed militants and redistribute it between some members of the personnel to keep the scheme going.
