Defense Ministry Intelligence: Russian Border Service Bans Entry For Citizens With DPR/LPR Passports

The Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense states that checkpoints controlled by border service of the Russian Federation deny entry to citizens with "passports" of self-styled Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).

The Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense has posted this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, Russian authorities take measures to prevent entering into their territory of plunderers and individuals with criminal records.

There are mobile groups set up at checkpoints that run additional checks of documents of citizens and transport coming from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and ask questions to reveal persons with ties or cooperation with militants.

The intelligence also reports that the shortage of human resources prompted militant commandment to introduce a prohibition of discharge from service.

In addition, there is a control measure imposed on individuals who are on a vacation leave that envisages a road map and a timetable for the individual's movement to the place of destination with indication of checkpoints and arrival time.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense had stated that Russia's authorities suspect the so-called "governing authorities" of the DPR and LPR of money squandering and embezzlement of other material-technical means provided to them.
