Law Enforcers Take Foreign Passports Of Huzhva

Law enforcers have taken foreign passports of Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua internet newspaper.

Ihor Huzhva announced this to the press after leaving the remand prison in Kyiv, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Police took my foreign passports during the raid (search)," he said.

He says he is prohibited to make foreign trips and leave Kyiv.

He says another two criminal cases are being prepared against him the media outlet.

He says the media outlet will not change its policy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 26, Svitlana Kriukova, deputy editor-in-chief of the Strana.ua internet newspaper, posted the bail for Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua.

On June 24, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv ordered a detention of Huzhva with the alternative of a bail of UAH 544,000.
