Police Starts Investigating Explosion In Solomiyanskyi District Of Kyiv As Terror Attack

The police have opened a criminal investigation into explosion in Solomiyanskyi district of Kyiv that caused the death of a person, considering it a terror attack.

Director of Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Artem Shevchenko told to journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The police have started investigating the explosion as a terror attack under Article 258 of the Penal Code, but the case will be transferred to the Security Service," he said.

Shevchenko also said that one military died in the explosion.

Head of the elite force of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense has died in a car explosion in Solomiyanskyi district of Kyiv.

Ukrainian News Agency has learnt this from a source familiar with the matter.
