Svitlana Kriukova, deputy editor-in-chief of the Strana.ua internet newspaper, has posted the bail for Ihor Huzhva, editor-in-chief of Strana.ua.
Huzhva's lawyer Olena Lukash wrote this on her Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The bail for Ihor Huzhva has been posted by Svitlana Kriukova. Ihor has been brought to the Lukianivka remand prison. They were taking him [to the remand prison] although they knew that the bail had been posted," she wrote.
According Olena Lukash, Ihor Huzhva will be released soon.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 24, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv ordered a detention of Huzhva with the alternative of a bail of UAH 544,000.
Earlier the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv chose house arrest for Anton Filipkovskyi suspected under the criminal case against Huzhva as a preventive measure.
On June 22, law enforcers detained Huzhva on suspicion of extortion from Member of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Linko (the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko parliamentary faction).
