Witnesses to the search in the case of detention of Ihor Huzhva, the editor-in-chief of the Strana.ua internet newspaper, refused to introduce themselves to lawyer Olena Lukash. They also gave no answer when she asked where USD 10,000 was found in the editorial office. Lukash said this in her comments to the Strana.ua internet newspaper, while she was in the room searched by law enforcement officers. Lukash tried to get an answer to a question about the money that was depicted on the photo Yurii Lutsenko had posted on Facebook as evidence of "extorting bribe." "Tell me, please, the witnesses. Did you clearly see where the money came from?" the lawyer asked the witnesses. The witnesses remained silent and turned away. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko said that the editor-in-chief of the Strana.ua internet paper, Ihor Huzhva was detained on suspicion of extortion of USD 10,000. Huzhva brands as fabricated the criminal case against him on charges of extortion.
