Cabinet Registers Pension Reform Bills At Rada

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has registered the bills on the pension reform at the Verkhovna Rada.

Bills No.6614-6617 were registered by the parliament on June 22, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The bills envisage amendments to the Budget Code, Article 588 of the Customs Code, the Tax Code, and some legislative acts of Ukraine.

The texts of the bills are not available on the website of the Verkhovna Rada so far.

First Deputy Chairperson of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction Ihor Kononenko states that the bill on pension reform that was published in media on June 21 is not final.

The MP told this to journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In particular, the bill's wording that has been published by the Glavcom (information agency) is not final because yesterday amendments were entered into the bill. Today we expect a new version," he said.

According to Kononenko, his faction intends to discuss the document with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at a meeting.

The MP said that, in general, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction supports the bill on pension reform.

On June 21, Glavcom published a draft of the document that was obtained by the Ukrainian News Agency.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 21, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted draft bills on the pension reform in Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko says the Cabinet of Ministers has accepted not all recommendations from the National Reforms Council on the pension reform bills.
