The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine wants the Verkhovna Rada to adopt amendments to the law on the 2017 state budget increasing revenues of the budget by UAH 25 billion.
The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the decision at its sitting on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are suggesting amendments to the state budget for 2017 in the part of revenues of the general fund of the state budget. We are suggesting increasing them by UAH 25 billion," said Oksana Markarova, first deputy finance minister.
The revenues will increase against personal income tax, VAT on imports, subsoil rent, and higher dividends from the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company.
The additional revenues will be used for defense, UAH 14.1 billion will be used for utility subsidies, infrastructure and other projects.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the state budget for 2017 with UAH 721.398 billion of revenues and UAH 790.393 billion of outlays.
