The Law of Ukraine that introduces administrative responsibility for production and propaganda of Saint George ribbons will take effect on June 15.
The said law was published in the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Law of Ukraine envisions that public use and wearing of Saint George ribbons is fined UAH 850-2,500.
Repeated propaganda of the ribbons entails the fine of UAH 5,100 or administrative arrest for the period of up to 15 days.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 16, the Verkhovna Rada introduced administrative responsibility for Saint George ribbon propaganda.
President Petro Poroshenko has called the ribbon "a symbol of the aggression against Ukraine of 2014-2017."
