Kyiv Intends To Develop Locations For Watching Final Match Of Champions League 2018

The Kyiv city state administration intends to develop locations on Khreschatyk Street, Sofiyska Street, Mykhailivska Square, and on the territory of the national complex Expocenter of Ukraine for watching the final match of the UEFA Champions League which will take place in Kyiv in May 2018.

The press service of the Kyiv city state administration announced this in a statement citing Hennadii Plis, first deputy head of the administration, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Kyiv is expecting arrival of officials of the UEFA in July. The city authorities will discuss the question of the locations with them.

He says the successful experience of hosting the Eurovision international song contest in Kyiv in May 2017 will help host the final match of the UEFA Champions League at the highest level.

The final match of the UEFA Champions League will be at the Olimpiyskiy National Sport Complex in Kyiv on May 26, 2018.

On May 24, 2018, Kyiv will also host the final match of the women's Champions League at the Dynamo Stadium after Valeriy Lobanovsky.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Kyiv is expecting arrival of up to 170,000 football fans from abroad for the final match of the UEFA Champions League in May 2018.
