The Kyivenergo company estimates losses from suspension of natural gas supplies to the Combined Heat and Power Plant-6 (CHPP-6) in Kyiv at UAH 1 million a week.
Ivan Plachkov, the chairperson of the supervisory board of Kyivenergo, announced this at a new briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"At present there are colossal technical problems to maintain the system of CHPP-6. In addition, we spend UAH 1 million to maintain CHPP-1," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 30, 2017, the affiliate of the Ukrtransgaz company, the operator of the Ukrainian gas transport system, Kyivtransgas, suspended gas supplies to the CHPP-6, which delivers hot water to Obolon, Troyeschyna, Raduzhnyi and Lisnyi areas of Kyiv.
DTEK owns the 72.39-percent stake in Kyivenergo.
