UN Monitoring Mission: 36 Civilians Killed, 157 Wounded In Donbas Conflict On February 16 - May 15

The Monitoring Mission of the United Nations Organization (UN) has recorded that 37 civilians were killed and 157 were wounded as a result of the conflict in the Donbas during the period of February 16 - May 15.

Ukrainian News Agency has learned this from the Mission's 18th report on the human rights situation in Ukraine.

This figure exceeded the result for the previous reporting period (November 16, 2016 - February 15, 2017) by 48%.

Besides, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine states that at least 10,090 people including 2,777 civilians have died and 23,966 suffered wounds since the start of the conflict in the East of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the UN previously said that 35 civilians were killed, and 143 were wounded as a result of the conflict in the Donbas in the period of March 1 - May 14.
