President Petro Poroshenko expects that he will meet with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron at the earliest possible time.
The President of Ukraine said this at a joint press conference with President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Poroshenko added that at the last Normandy Format meeting at the level of political advisors, France, Germany and Ukraine showed their joint position regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements, where security issues were stressed to be prior to the political set of issues.
The President assured that the United States is involved in the Minsk process at the level of its ambassador.
Petro Poroshenko assured he saw no threat of abolition or smoothening of the U.S. sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Poroshenko also said the meeting with President of the United States Donald Trump is being actively prepared.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at his press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Macron called Russia's RT TV channel and Sputnik news agency "bodies of influence and propaganda."
