Satisfaction Of Naftogaz's Demand To Transfer Transit Contract To Main Gas Pipelines Likely To Oblige Naftogaz To Early Redeem Gazprombank's Loan Worth USD 835 Million

Possible ruling of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC; Sweden) to satisfy demand of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company obliging the Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom to transfer rights and liabilities under the contract on gas transit through the territory of Ukraine to the Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine public joint-stock company is likely to entail Gazprombank's decision to demand that the Ukrainian NJSC redeem the loan worth USD 835.3 million allocated by the bank in 2012.

Naftogaz of Ukraine said this in its annual report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as at December 31, 2016, Naftogaz of Ukraine's liabilities under the loan of Gazprombank made USD 835.3 million due late June 2018.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company reported net profit of UAH 22.532 billion for 2016.
