Cabinet Internet Provider Blocks Some Of Banned Russian Social Networks

The internet provider that provides services to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has blocked several of Russian social networks access to which has been restricted.

This comes from a journalist of the Ukrainian News who reports from the scene.

In particular, Wi-Fi connection blocks access to a social network VKontakte, a search engine Yandex and a mail agent Mail.ru.

At the same time, a social network Odnoklassniki is still available.

The Speedtest reveals that the provider of the internet is the Adamant telecommunication company.  

As at May 24, Wi-Fi connection allowed internet users to connect to the aforesaid sanctioned websites.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko introduced the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council's decision to impose sanctions on 1,228 individuals and 468 legal entities. The decision bans internet service providers from granting access to the Mail.ru, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and Yandex services.
