OSCE ODIHR Recommending Rada Revise Process Of Ombudsman Appointment

The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine revise the process of election and appointment of Ukrainian parliamentary ombudsman.

This is said in a respective request of the ODIHR to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider appointment of ombudsman at its plenary meeting on Tuesday, June 6.
