The Ukrainian Internet-Association (InAU) states providers cannot block websites of the Russian Federation subjected to sanctions.
Chairperson of the InAU Oleksandr Fediyenko told this to the Ukrainian News Agency.
Fediyenko stressed that Internet-providers are technically unfit to implement such mechanism by 100%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Tuesday the Presidential Decree came out that forbade Ukrainian Internet providers to render access to Internet servers Mail.ru, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki and even Yandex tools.
Previously Poroshenko enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on measures to counter cyber threats.
Besides, Poroshenko ordered the Ministry of Information Policy to conduct a continuous monitoring of mass media and publicly open Internet resources to reveal information forbidden in Ukraine.
The Freedom House international non-government organization marked Ukraine as a country with partial freedom of media.
