The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has deprived Verkhovna Rada non-affiliated deputy Andrii Artemenko of his mandate. A total of 244 parliamentary members backed respective draft resolution No. 6445, when 226 votes enough to pass the decision, the Ukrainian News Agency reports. Artemenko was absent during consideration of the issue. In compliance with Article 81 of the Constitution, MPs mandate is annulled in case Ukrainian citizenship is terminated. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, The New York Times said that Artemenko had handed over a draft settlement of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to U.S. President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor Michael T. Flynn. One of the plan's items envisions organization of an all-Ukrainian referendum on letting Crimea out to the Russian Federation for the period of 50-100 years.
