Member of Parliament Refat Chubarov of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, who is the leader of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, intends to travel to the Russia-annexed Crimea to attend the trial of the Mejlis' deputy leader Akhtem Chiygoz.
Lawyer Mykola Polozov announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the lawyer, the defense team will petition the court to summon Chubarov for interrogation after completion of all the necessary documents.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a court in the Crimea extended the period of Chiygoz's arrest until July 8 in March.
